Meet Our Vicar

 Vicar of St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Belmont  

It is a great joy and privilege for me to serve as the Vicar of St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Belmont. I am grateful to be sharing this new season of ministry with the people of St Stephen’s and the wider Belmont community.

I am passionate about helping people grow in their relationship with God through worship, prayer, biblical teaching and discipleship. I believe the Church is called not only to gather for worship on Sundays, but also to be a welcoming and caring Christian community where people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and share his love through our everyday lives and service to others.

Before coming to St Stephen’s, I served in Anglican parishes in Melbourne’s west, including Epiphany Anglican Church, Hoppers Crossing, and the Parish of Altona and Laverton. Over the years, I have also had the privilege of serving alongside churches and Christian communities from a variety of cultural and denominational backgrounds. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the richness and diversity of the wider body of Christ.

I am married to my wife, Bless, who has been actively involved in children’s and youth ministry for many years. Together we have three children, and as a family we are grateful to be part of the St Stephen’s community and this new chapter of our life and ministry in Belmont.

I have a deep love for the Scriptures and a desire to communicate the Christian faith faithfully and in ways that connect with people today. I am particularly passionate about encouraging and equipping people of all ages to discover the gifts God has given them and to participate in the life and mission of the Church.

My hope and prayer for St Stephen’s is that we will continue to grow as a community where people encounter Christ, find belonging, grow in faith, and are equipped to serve others.

In all that we do, I am reminded that the ministry and mission of the Church ultimately depend not upon our own strength or ability, but upon God and the work of the Holy Spirit:
